Wonderful care workers, from across the region, gathered for the sparkling Care and Support West 2016 Awards dinner at the prestigious Bath Racecourse on Saturday 9th July.
The annual awards were an opportunity for all care and support providers, just like Cintre, to celebrate members of their team who had gone that extra mile to make a real difference to a person’s life.
Cintre were very pleased to have not only a number of nominations but a winner!
Paul Forsey, from Cintre’s Reachout service, won ‘Supported Living Front Line Worker of the Year ’.
Paul had been recognised by the judging panel for his extended and dedicated support for a person who was in crisis when faced with the stormy transition from residential living to individual independence which had been very difficult and worrying.
The move was breaking down, so Paul acted as a mediator, undertaking huge amounts of behind-the-scenes work including working tirelessly with the service user client, the family and all other agencies and representatives to secure the successful move with the client into their own flat, where they are now very happy and settled.
Every day, Paul tirelessly works with a small number of people who each have their own difficulties in facing life’s challenges. Not only does he commit wholeheartedly to this, he even manages to find time to study and develop his own skill and recently has achieved his NVQ level 3.
Congratulations to Paul and all the other winners. They are all unsung heroes.
