We have a vacancy working with a young male within his parental home and out in the community, in Bristol.
The young male has a diagnosis of autism, and mild learning disabilities, but no behaviours that challenge.
Support will focus on living skills with the outlook of independent living later on in life. You will be a key person in developing ‘motivation’ towards developing new skills.
You will be supporting the individual with their ongoing learning, development and education and working closely with their speech therapist.
This individual has multiple interests which include guitar skills, horticulture, cooking and DIY.
As his support worker you will have the opportunity to create varied and interesting support sessions together, such as learning new skills in DIY.
UK Driving license and access to own transport essential.
We are looking for staff with the right values, attitudes and motivation to positively engage with our services users in a person centred way and work in a team that promotes learning and fosters a positive culture. You will ideally have experience of supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disability and/or Mental Health issues.
Rate of Pay: From £8.28 -£9.20 per hour (depending upon experience)
