From Placement to Employment!
"I first joined Cintre when I was completing a placement for my MSc Social Work degree at University of Bristol.
I wanted to work with a service who support adults with learning disabilities in the community. I had previous experience in a Special Educational Needs department in a school, and wanted to expand my knowledge of services for this older age group.
Cintre Reachout provided me with a great opportunity to do this. The team were really supportive and friendly. I really enjoyed meeting people in their homes and in other environments to support them to maintain being able to live independently.
The work is really varied, which I love! I like the work so much that I contacted Cintre to come back as Bank staff, while I finish my qualification also. I came back in March 2016 when I finished my final year placement.
I would definitely recommend Cintre for other students on placement, and who want to get an experience of working in the community providing a supportive service to young adults"!
