Jack Jumps for Cintre

On Saturday some of our Service users and staff travelled to the NDAC in Chepstow to cheer on and support Jack Hunt of Team Leidos who had decided to raise money for Cintre.

Supported by the small group, his family and friends he ascended in a small cage high above the Dive Centre’s quarry to a staggering height of 400ft. It was here Jack took his leap of faith from the small caged platform and raised the money. With pledge and donation totals Yet unknown it is expected to be a considerable amount of money.

Cintre would like to say a very big heartfelt thank you to Jack. From myself i look forward to getting involved in some exciting and possibly crazy ideas with Jack in 2020. “Bring It ON”

Team Leidos swap the office for a day out in the Garden.

Team Leidos volunteer to swap the office for a day out in the garden to help Cintre with their garden project. last month the team volunteered to come and help us with our garden project in Kingswood. Team Leidos is the formation of many separate departments and companies that have come together to help out with local community projects. Here both Team Leidos and Cintre service users and staff worked together to paint, prune vegetation and move gravel in order to take the sensory garden to the next level. A huge thanks to all that were involved and watch out for future projects.

Please help support Jack

Please see our latest sponsorship campaign. This will take place for anyone who would like to come along and watch at the National Dive and Activity Centre (NDAC) in Chepstow. Jack is due to jump at 11:06 on the 24th August.

Our service users have recently taken a trip down to Weston super-mare to see the new Cintre Point. Our new Reachout Cintre Point will be able to deliver Community services such as art and cookery sessions and much more. These centers will help maintain and enhance important social skills for our Service users. Our Cintre points also create a safe environment to relax, socialise and be amongst friends.

Appearing on Radio Ujima

Last night our Community Based Service Manager and the Marketing & Fundraising Officer attended Ujima Radio of Bristol. The idea put together recently at an event in Colstan Hall by the Radio presenter Asher was to help spread the word about Cintre and our 40th year celebrations next year.

New Deputy CEO

Cintre’s New Deputy CEO networks with Owner Henry from The Caldron Restaurant Bristol. Henry gave his time to support the Service Users Celebration event here at the Greenway centre in Southmead. Supporting the event with his culinary skills was a great way to help the other Cintre staff who also gave their time up to cook. Cintre wish to thank Henry and Scott and all the other members that made the day special.

Already our Garden project is changing. With the help of South Wales building contactors A P Waters we have managed to dig the pathway ready for Team Leidos to come in and help lay the path foundations. Thanks to Adrian and his team we have been able to do this all in one day.
