Cintre recently held a Well being at work training day. The day was hosted by 2 members from the Recovery Focus/Richmond Fellowship team who came and shared information whilst encouraging group led discussions.
Held in Reachouts office the team engaged with HR, Finance and managers from across Cintre to provide general information around Mental Health and MSK conditions. The Cintre staff were all asked to engage both verbally and with Mobile phones and this helped create a relaxed and enjoyable way of learning.
At the same time as receiving up-to-date information and best practice ideas the staff were also asked to share their opinions and thoughts on certain topics such as understanding how to have an awareness of other people’s mental health and what is seen as good practice when dealing with other staffs mental health problems. The course also covered many other subjects and points. Other subjects covered included, Knowing and understanding the benefits of Job Retention and Reasonable Adjustments, and Creating ideas on how to have supportive conversations when dealing with health difficulties. The course attendees were also provided with tools and ideas to help them promote wellbeing at work.
The course seemed to be uplifting and motivating and the Cintre staff members seemed to be happy to get involved. There were many different opinions and points of views shared by the members that attended the course and this was instrumental in helping the course run well.
Thanks to both Juan and Sioned who ran the course.
