We have a close-knit and successful team here at Cintre, and we love to celebrate their hard work. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that one of our volunteers and two of our support staff have reached the finals for this year’s Care and Support West Awards!
First up we have Reachout Key Worker Scott Hopkinson who has been nominated for the activity organiser category. Scott is always ready to go the extra mile to make our activities and events a success. He has done fantastic work supporting our Service User Forum to meet and organise their own trips to a range of destinations as far away as London. He has also been key to the planning and delivery of our Big Lottery funded cooking club!
Next we have Reachout Key Worker Laura Mariner who has been nominated for the front line worker category. Laura never stops thinking of imaginative new ways to help her service users to take steps towards their personal goals. She shows a huge amount of empathy and compassion in her work, and is also always ready to advise and help colleagues with their support work. All of this helps us to make the biggest impact possible in our work.
Finally, we have our volunteer Ali Webber who has been working wonders for Cintre since she started as a Trustee in February 2014. We could not ask for a more committed and dedicated volunteer than Ali. The new ideas and perspective that she has bought to our organisation has already made a real and positive difference. As further demonstration of her commitment Ali recently took on the responsibility of chairing our board of Trustees after our previous chair retired in July.
A big congratulations to all three of our fantastic finalists. We hope all three are successful in their categories, and look forward to finding out the final results at the Awards Ceremony on 20th October!
